"Picnic Dates" was an exploration of color, made without a set plan or purpose during a simple picnic with wine and chalk. The piece features three birds in flight, each at a different angle and rendered in vibrant, rainbow-like colors. I wanted the background to match the energy of the birds, so I used a mix of colors in sections to create a dynamic and layered feel. The lack of a rigid structure allowed me to experiment freely, and the result is one of my favorite pieces in terms of color. The vibrant tones and spontaneous nature of the work capture the essence of the moment—unplanned and unforced, yet full of life.
